Benefits Of Manual Therapy
Sessions:

  • Experience Pain Relief Through Manual Therapy: Harnessing the power of manual therapy can activate the "Gate Control" mechanism, effectively blocking pain signals from reaching the brain.
  • Ease Muscle Tension for Headache Relief: Manual therapy targets muscle tension, offering relief from migraines and headaches, along with a range of other symptoms caused by stressors.
  • Reduced Inflammation: By releasing tension and breaking up adhesions or scar tissue, manual therapies can help reduce inflammation and swelling, facilitating the body's natural healing process.
  • Improved Mobility: Manual therapies target restrictions in the soft tissues and joints, restoring proper movement and flexibility to enhance overall mobility and function.
  • Holistic Approach: Manual therapies focus on treating the root cause of pain and dysfunction rather than just masking symptoms, promoting holistic healing and wellness from within.

Active Release Techniques® (ART®) at Elite Chiropractic And Sports Medicine, led by Dr. Alex, stands as a cornerstone of our practice. This technique addresses issues involving muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. It's a swift and effective method for diagnosing and treating muscular imbalances, often complementing chiropractic care seamlessly.

Overview:

Myofascial release therapy involves hands-on techniques applying sustained pressure to restrictive trigger points alongside other movement therapies.

Symptoms Addressed:

Back Pain, Bulging & Herniated Discs, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Degenerative Disc Disease, Fibromyalgia, Headaches & Migraines, Neck Pain, Sciatica, Shoulder Pain, Sports Injuries, Whiplash

What Is Myofascial Release?

Also known as ART or MRT, myofascial release is a soft tissue system-based massage technique targeting muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia, and nerve issues. Conditions like headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many more can find swift resolution with MRT, often stemming from overused muscles.

Causes Of Overuse Conditions:

Overused muscles undergo significant changes, including acute conditions like pulls or tears, accumulation of small tears (micro-trauma), and insufficient oxygen supply (hypoxia). These factors lead to the production of tough scar tissue, restricting movement, causing muscle shortening, weakness, tendonitis, and nerve entrapment, resulting in reduced range of motion, strength loss, and pain.

What To Expect From MRT Treatment:

Each MRT session assesses muscle, fascia, tendon, ligament, and nerve texture, tightness, and movement. Abnormal tissues are targeted using precisely directed tension alongside specific patient movements.
